Over a game of backgammon (Arabic: Tawla) and a cup of tea, we invite you to join us for conversation and create a space for informal exchange. At the same time, we’ll explain the rules of this ancient game that has connected people across continents and borders for thousands of years.

We are cleo, a migrant feminist community based in Munich. In light of growing exclusion and identity-based divides, we want to build bridges. It’s time to open spaces where belonging is actively affirmed. Our intervention is both an invitation and a call to action: Let’s connect and work together toward a pluralistic and just urban society—by listening to one another and sharing (collective) visions.

We’ll explain the rules on-site, so no prior knowledge is needed. You don’t need to bring anything: Tawla, dice, coffee, tea, and wine will be provided. If you have your own backgammon set, feel free to bring it along!
