event information:
Listen to Afuwa, Phionah and Monalisa, who are threatened by deportation to Uganda and Tansania. They will share their life stories and struggles in the German asylum system – stories of survival and strength. Listen to poetry and spoken word by Dr. Ifunanya Concilia Dimaku, who is an expert on global health, LGBTIQ activist and community organiser. The event is organised in the context of the photo exhibition „Queer. Geflüchtet. Sichtbar“ by Steffi Eckelmann, which shows portraits of queer refugees from Uganda, Tanzania and Nigeria. The project was originally a co-production of the LeTRa lesbian counselling service and the Habibi Kiosk at the Münchner Kammerspiele, with the kind support of the Münchner Regenbogenstiftung. The event will be held in english. AccessibilityUnfortunately, our shop is not yet accessible without barriers. There is a stone step about 9 cm high in front of the entrance that must be crossed. We’re happy to help with that. There is a gender-neutral restroom, which is also not fully accessible. Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance – we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
